Module 1: For babies 0-8 months old and their caregiver(s)

My hope for you in these classes is to find a safe space to breathe with your baby. To sing some songs and have fun. To meet other likeminded parents and bond over shared experiences. My hope is that you’ll find your voice and use it to build an even stronger connection with your baby.

What you’ll get out of these classes:

  • We’ll explore how to co-regulate with your baby using Attachment Theory. (aka how to calm yourself, while calming your baby when s*it has hit the fan!)

  • You’ll learn how to use music to establish routine and communicate with your baby.

  • You’ll learn how to use music to deepen your connection with your baby and in turn feel like the confident and successful parent you already are.

  • You’ll learn ways to slow down and lock in the good memories, the small moments that you’ll want to remember forever.

  • You’ll learn new ways to play with your baby. New morning songs, tummy time songs, and ways to engage after a long day.

  • 25+ new songs, all from the albums of Vered, to begin to build your own family songbook

  • Build lasting relationships with likeminded parents. It can be SO difficult to find friends going through the same things you are. We’ll build those relationships through sharing, through showing up, and through song.

A music class for parents, and babies love them too!

Module 2: For babies 9 - 24 months old and their caregiver(s)

Play and bond with your baby through music! Your baby is now learning all about themselves and all about their world. They’re wiggling, they’re rolling, they’re crawling, they’re toddling. Let’s engage with them in they ways they know best.

You and your baby will learn 25+ new songs, the power of rhythm and how to play, all while deepening your bond together. We'll participate in age-appropriate games and songs while utilizing puppets, props, drums, and instruments to enhance their engagement. Focus areas include language development, movement, and fostering a deeper connection with your baby through interactive play. There is also a strong element of therapy for the parent through music and discussion. We will also revisit quite a lot of what we introduce in Module 1; how to spot your toddler’s (new) cues, how to use music to establish routine, and how to co-regulate.

About Caralyn:

I’m a mom to 2 incredible boys, a 4 and 1 year old based in South Philly!

I studied Acting for Tv, Film and Theater in Toronto, before moving to NYC to pursue my dreams of becoming an Actor. I performed Improv & Sketch comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, acted in many short films and even landed a few roles on some TV shows. Alongside my performance career, I was also always a nanny. Music and children have been woven into my life for so long, teaching these classes was the rewarding career I never expected to come my way.

When I was nannying I had the amazing opportunity to meet Vered Benhorin, taking her class called Baby In Tune. I fell in love immediately. Even as a nanny, I saw the importance of a program such as this. I saw mothers in a safe space able to open up about difficult moments they had that week. No moment was treated as trivial, each moment was seen as important. I saw babies laughing and cuddling and connected. I knew this was something I wanted to be involved in and took the course again with my oldest son before moving to Philly. And then, lightbulb moment! This class was something I felt was missing in this community and knew it would be the perfect thing for me to introduce. My background of performing and my love of babies came together in perfect harmony. I absolutely love what I do and I love connecting communities and families. I can’t wait to meet you and sing together!

In addition to teaching Baby In Tune Classes, I am also a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. I believe deeply that all families deserve a full, restful night’s sleep. It is what ensures JOY throughout your days together. Happiness and love and joyful memories are what I hope everyone has with their children, and a rested family is the first step in achieving that. If you are struggling with any part of your child achieving independent sleep, you are not alone. Together we can establish a plan that will make you feel comfortable and safe and confident to pull it off. I believe in you and your child. Let’s do it together.
